Chris Dorman, Architects is a full service Architectural firm that brings youth and vitality to create innovative design solutions for commercial, residential and civic structures. Our process begins by considering each project and its relation to context, the needs of the client and its potential users. The architecture evolves from the tectonic nature of the building expressed through structure, the typological nature of the building as it relates to architectural style, and the vision that originates from the client. The firm has extensive experience taking a project from programming at a conceptual level, through construction documentation, and on to overseeing the project's completion in the field.

The process begins by optimizing the needs of the client through the design process. Through meetings and discussions, a design concept is achieved. Then, by integrating the knowledge and experience of a contractor, the assumptions of cost and constructability can be put to a test. Finally, a design can be completed that meets all of the Clients criteria, including Architectural Design, budget and constructability. Additionally, the interaction with the Contractor early on helps to invest the Contractor in the outcome of the project as part of a working team.

The goal of this firm is to produce buildings that will last and prove useful for generations to come.  Where possible, the firm has incorporated the use of alternative building products and encourages the incorporation of "Green" building materials where appropriate.
